Each year, Emily works with a limited number of students on standardized test preparation and academic support, including writing skills. She has experience tutoring the SAT, ACT, SHSAT, ISEE, SSAT, and PSAT. Her sessions are highly customized to the unique needs of each student; as such, she does not follow a set curriculum. Rather, she provides a diagnostic exercise or reviews a practice test, then works with students to make an individual action plan. This approach brings learners into the heart of their process and it is highly effective.

Emily’s ACT students improve by an average of 5 points, while her SAT students typically improve by over 150 points. Her SHSAT students regularly gain admission to their first-choice high school. The students she works with on a regular basis report increased confidence and ability to navigate difficult material. And her writing skills students gain a vital skillset they can use for the rest of their lives.
